How to Adjust Your Tempura Dryer Hood Tension

This tutorial explains how to adjust the head tension on the 1433 Temptura, applicable to both the stand-mounted and wall-mounted models. Follow these steps to ensure smooth and stable head movement.

Tools Required:

  • Screwdriver

  • 10 mm Allen wrench (or 3/8-inch Allen wrench as an alternative)

1. Removing the Cap

  1. Locate the caps on the head tension adjustment area.

  2. Use a screwdriver to gently pry behind the edge of the cap.

  3. Tap the screwdriver lightly to remove the cap.

2. Accessing the Adjustment Screw

  1. Inside the exposed area, locate the socket head cap screw.

    • Use the 10 mm Allen wrench (or 3/8-inch alternative) to access the screw.

  2. Ensure the Allen wrench fits securely into the screw to avoid stripping it.

3. Adjusting the Tension

  1. Turn the screw clockwise to tighten (“righty-tighty”).

    • Tighten gently; excessive force is unnecessary.

  2. Test the head movement:

    • Ensure it stays in position when left alone.

    • Avoid over-tightening, as this can make adjustments difficult.

  3. Turn the screw counterclockwise to loosen (“lefty-loosey”), if necessary, to achieve the desired tension.

4. Rechecking the Adjustment

  1. Move the head to different positions:

    • Confirm it holds steady without being too stiff.

    • Make minor adjustments as needed.

5. Replacing the Cap

  1. Align the cap with its original position.

  2. Press or gently tap it back into place until secure.

Additional Notes:

  • These steps apply to both stand-mounted and wall-mounted 1433 Temptura models.

  • Proper tension ensures smooth functionality and prevents unnecessary wear on the adjustment mechanism.

By following this guide, you can effectively adjust the head tension on your 1433 Temptura for optimal performance.
