Introduction

The Collins pipeless pedicure system is designed for efficiency and ease of use. This tutorial walks you through the process of connecting its components, including the pump, control box, and optional drain system, so you can set it up correctly and ensure smooth operation.

1. Components Overview

  • Control Box: Manages the pump and optional drain system.

  • Air Hose: Connects the air switch to the control box.

  • Pump Outlet: Powers the pump for water circulation.

  • Drain Outlet: Activates the optional drain system.

  • Wall Outlet: Provides power, typically requiring a GFI unit as per local codes.

2. Connecting the Pump

  1. Locate the Control Box: Identify the control box at the back of the unit.

  2. Attach the Air Hose:

    • Connect the air hose from the air switch to the control box.

  3. Plug in the Pump:

    • Find the outlet on the control box labeled Continuous.

    • Plug the pump into this outlet.

    • This ensures the pump operates when the air switch is actuated.

3. Operating the Pump

  1. Press the Pump Button on the unit to activate the pump.

  2. Press the button again to turn the pump off.

    • The pump will continuously run until manually turned off.

4. Optional Drain System Setup

  1. Identify the Drain Outlet:

    • Locate the outlet on the control box marked Drain.

  2. Connect the Air Hose:

    • Attach the air hose for the drain system to the corresponding port.

  3. Plug in the Drain Pump:

    • Connect the drain pump to the outlet labeled Drain.

5. Operating the Drain System

  1. Press the Drain Button on the unit to activate the drain pump.

  2. The pump will run for 3 minutes and automatically shut off.

    • This feature prevents the drain pump from running indefinitely if left unattended.

6. Powering the Unit

  1. Connect the system’s power cord to a standard wall outlet.

    • Ensure the outlet is a GFI unit, following local electrical codes.

  2. Confirm that all connections are secure and properly installed.

7. Additional Notes

  • The control box manages both the pump and drain system independently.

  • The Continuous Outlet is specifically for the pump, while the Drain Outlet is programmed for timed operation.

  • Verify local codes for GFI requirements to ensure safety and compliance.

By following these steps, you can set up the Collins pipeless pedicure system correctly, ensuring a seamless and safe operation for your salon.
