Proper spacing is essential when placing backwash shampoo units to ensure comfort and accessibility for both clients and stylists. Following recommended guidelines will help create an efficient and functional salon layout.

When placing backwash shampoo units it's important to follow spacing guidelines to ensure proper accessibilty for both clients and stylist.

• Allow 32” left to right for each unit.
• Allow 30” to 36” behind units for stylists.
• Allow 60” for conventional chairs, or 72” for chairs with kickout leg rests.
• Allow 3’ feet in front of chairs.
• Allow 30” to 36” for aisles.
Overall, allow 13’ 4” front to back, or 12’ 4” as a minimum.
